Poklon – Vojak is a very popular trail. Vojak (1401) is the highest peak of Učka mountain. The trail starts at the Poklon pass, at the parking lot next to the Poklon mountain lodge. It is easy to get to Poklon mountain lodge.
If you are coming from the direction of Rijeka, on the road towards Istria (towards the Učka tunnel), exit at the Veprinac exit. The road takes you through the town of Veprinac, uphill towards the Poklon pass. Follow the signs for Učka Nature Park. The road will take you to the Poklon mountain lodge.
If you are going from the direction of Istria on the highway towards Rijeka, exit at the Vranja / Labin exit, and after the toll booths, turn left. The road goes uphill and will lead you to the village of Vela Učka. Continue on to Poklon mountain lodge.
The hiking trail from Poklon to Vojak starts at the parking lot in front of the restaurant, i.e. at the parking lot that is a little further back from the main road.
The trail goes through a beautiful beech forest. The soft ground, pleasant for walking, facilitates the steeper ascent. After about 10 minutes of walking, the trail reaches the first crossing over the asphalt road.
In total, the path crosses the asphalt road three times.

Then we come to a spring with fresh, drinkable water
It was a beautiful, clear day, so from the trail we could see islands Cres and Krk, the city of Rijeka, even Velebit mountain.
When we arrived at the very top of Vojak, we were so fascinated by the view that we forgot to take a photo of the tower.
The view is beautiful on all sides
We returned back the same way.
There is also the “Plas Educational Trail”, which starts and ends on the Poklon-Vojak mountain trail, so there will be no problem finding your way around. You can choose the Plas educational trail both on the way up and on the way down.
